School Spirit Days

This School Spirit Days dress code was developed by the Student Council officers so all students can occasionally enjoy a special clothing day. All students are expected to support their efforts. Parents will be called to bring appropriate clothing if these rules are not followed.
1. Students may choose to wear their regular uniform; however, students are not to mix and match uniform and Spiritwear articles.
2. Students may wear any St. Dominic Spiritwear shirt or St. Dominic athletic shirt (unless directed otherwise by their coaches). Every shirt must have long or short sleeves. St. Dominic athletic jerseys which do not have sleeves may be worn over a solid white or solid black t-shirt.
3. Students may also wear shirts or t-shirts (no logos, printing, or pictures) in the school colors of solid black or solid white. High school, college, and professional sports' shirts may not be worn.
4. Any pants/shorts may be worn (excluding overalls) as long as they are clean, neat, in good condition, and fit properly. Shorts may not be shorter than two (2) to three (3) inches from the floor when kneeling. Shorts and capris may be worn from April 1st through October 15th. Long pants must be worn all other months.
5. Shoes must be as specified in the regular dress code. One white and one black sock is permissible and would be fun.
6. Students may not color their hair or paint their face.
7. If a student is a minister (on the altar) for a Mass or Prayer Service that day, he/she must be in full uniform for the service. They may bring appropriate spirit clothes and change after the service.
8. If it is not referenced on this sheet, it is not permitted.
